ASA 101

Basic Keelboat Sailing

Get your sea legs with the ASA 101 "Sailing Made Easy" introduction to sailing. You'll learn to skipper a sloop - rigged keelboat in light to moderate wind and sea conditions. The boat is your classroom!

The course is 12 hours of “on the water” in depth practical sailing skills training and classroom review sessions.

Basic Coastal Cruising

Following this course, you'll be able to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat of approximately 25-35 feet in light to moderate winds and sea conditions.

 

Learn the terminology, basic boat systems, docking procedures, navigation rules, anchoring and more.

Bareboat Cruising

Jump right in with the ASA 104 "Bareboat Charter" course. Completing the course will get you certified to charter boats in the US, Greece, Turkey, and Croatia, etc. Learn the basics of provisioning the charter boat, passage planning, weather forecasting, and more.

Join one of our weeklong club flotillas in Corfu and you'll be ready to skipper your own boat in no time.

ADVANCED COURSES

Learn to Skipper a Catamaran

If chartering a spacious catamaran is your dream, take the ASA 114 course "Cruising Catamaran Certification" on one of our beautiful Lagoon catamarans in Herzliya.

Join our partner school Fair Winds Sailing Corfu and take the ASA 105 or 106 aboard the S/V Starlight with Captain Dimitris.

ISRAELI SKIPPER LICENSE

(“Mashit 30”)

Israel Skipper License

Our comprehensive and professional skipper course will provide the tools you need to get an Israeli Skipper 30 license. It’s a fun course and prepares you for skippering a wide variety of sailing yachts:

✓ Nearly unlimited practice cruises for the first six months 

Close mentoring including meetings with a native English-speaking sailing instructor 

✓ Four 3 hour preparation cruises for the practical course 

✓ Practical course (48 sea hours including test)

✓ Access to our Weekly study session on chart navigation at the Tashoot offices 

✓ Flexibility in study time (the duration of the course can vary between 3 months to 2 years}
